I have always understood Monkey grass to be a low-to-the-ground ground cover. This is definitely NOT low to the ground! Who’s right???
Thank you all!! What do we do with it in the winter? I’m guessing it will die back, but do we just trim it back as well?
The best time to trim back Fountain grass is in late winter when it isn't actively growing. It will come back again in spring.
make sure you keep it watered during the Winter though. even though it is dormant it still needs moisture. if it freezes dry it will kill it, too.
