With all the rain we have had this year. Our prairie is growing wonderfully. Here is a picture of our Queen of the Prairie. My hubby calls it our cotton candy flowers. So beautiful.
I personally dislike pink color a lot, (I've got my reasons) - But this looks really nice on the plant, (with green all around). Probably because it's more purplish then pink perhaps... Anyway this again goes to prove how superior rainwater really is. In combination with very well managed soil. Really excellent!
Thanks all you your comments. This is the best our little prairie has done in several years. Especially the Queen of the prairie. Last year it was attacked by powdery mildew. It stunted it's growth and they never bloomed. So this year is a special treat. I was concerned with all the rain and then the hot weather. But it's loving it. So glad.
Tooty, Each area of the world seems to have a flower that represents that region the best. This must be at the top of the list. Thank you for presenting us with such an outstanding specimen. Jerry
