The rain stopped for today and I wanted to get the blueberries out of pots and into the ground. I moved them to the front yard so I could keep an eye on them until they got their roots developed. They were not getting enough water to get established in their prior location. The blueberries are now located in “my” sections of the yard.:snicker: They are all located where watering will be simplified or more easily monitored.

Unfortunately the front yard has had numerous hostas and other plants relocated to beds out front and I am not sure where exactly. There were/are a lot of plants there already. I think I dug up a dormant hosta,. It made a crunching sound. :sulk:I tucked the muddy clump back into the ground.

Here are some photos from several years ago (2015) when the front yard was filled with a variety of heathers and heaths that bloomed throughout the year and had a lot more patio pavers.

Here’s today’s mess, needing a lot of care and work to establish a perennial garden with some structure and year round interest.

The hard part of figuring out this section of the yard is telling which plants I’ve put where :headscratch: and which self sewn hellebores I want to keep. I still have some of the double hellebores (mardigras mix) I need to move in this general area.

Still need to bury the tree stump to help this soil. That too poses a challenge.:sete_026: Later

Lot of work there but at least you can be doing some of it now. Getting a start on the season.
