More colours here. Even though it frosted last night this strawberry gets protected in the night. I planted 20 into a tunnel and I will see how much earlier I can have strawberries this year.
It is so good to see the progress down there in the mountains. Good idea to tunnel those. Is it a choice to force them into production earlier or a necessity because of your climatic conditions? I also see the little green fruits. I see the buds and it fills me with uncontainable jealousy. Haha. We are a couple of weeks away from cleaning and dressing like you, I think. It is the year to order some new strawb plants this year and we will be getting ours the first week in april.

Odif, you will love them under cover. we do a couple rows under cover but we have to watch for chipmunks, moles and voles tunneling through under the ground cover.
Tulips about to open..need more in this planter..lesson learned. Lots of Primula's self seeded in the grass this Winter, have dug up some and have used them by eradicating the weeds (for now) and replanting the Primula's there. This was almost all weeds until a couple of months ago so have worked really hard on this rockery but still find every day those little beasties keep re seeding again..... Have four of these old baskets retrieved from the adjoining barn where they have sat for 6 years...more trailing plants to add which I am growing from seed..maybe a tad late though...
Things are looking cheerful there. I shall be interested to see how your rockery develops further...or do you mean to keep it as it is in terms of open ground? Rock gardens can be so lovely. Eagerly awaiting to see yours later in the season.
Thank you ...There was a huge rock there when we purchased the property and with so many rocks around the garden, many ended up it that area. I have grown from a pod taken from my daughters French Holiday Home garden she had no idea... maybe a Wisteria or similar, it is now spreading and is in the far left corner of that rockery...There is also a climbing rose going through some plums trees next to it ...I will be adding some more plants and likely move some of the rocks about also.
