The first cold day of the season. Have a fire in the wood stove and a big pot of chili soup going in the crock pot! It's 36 deg F with a few snow flurries blowing around.

Aha the old chili soup, you know what you're doing that's for sure. It's getting chilly here too but not as much as Ohio I guess - 42 Deg F

Is your cat still sitting in front of the wood burner? :D

I woke up to the whole garden covered in white and a frozen pond this morning. :smt009 No, not snow but a severe overnight frost. -3 degrees with the same forecast for tomorrow. Definately getting set for a long, cold winter I think.

Gee It's still above 0 here. :D Hope It doesn't get to -42 for another month or two. :D

Seriously, it's 16 Deg F with an inch and a half of snow on the ground and a nasty wind today. I've got the fire going and am finding things to to inside.

The only time I ws at -42 deg was when I went through the Canadian Forces Arctic Survival course. 10 days in an igloo with an average temp. of -57 deg. The last night there the wind came up and the wind chill dropped to -100. I will never be dumb enough to volunteer for something like that again.
