    Finally!

Some photos and videos of 'arry!

The camera picked him up three times.

He seems to be quite mobile and has put on some weight.

This at half-past ten last night.

This must have been his "after dinner tour" at 1.13am as I could see through the windows that he'd cleared his food by midnight.

"Maybe the weight he put on after eating his dinner was enough to trigger the PIR on the back of the shed, when it didn't happen earlier?"

and again at around half past two.

I'm very pleased with the performance of the "Apeman" trail camera for around fifty quid.
I've set it to take a still photo followed by a 13 second video each time it's activated.

The sound is good too. In the videos you can hear the rain dripping off the shed roof.

No visit from the fox last night.

Hedgehogs are so cute! Kinda wish we had them here, but we also have feral kitties who might like a "spicy" (prickly haha) snack

'arry piled his dishes up again before he left last night, he's so helpful. He ate most of his food, then went into the ground bird feeder, ate some of the bird food, had a poo in there, came out, went back into his feeding station had a drink of water, ate the rest of his dinner, then left.

He hasn't appeared again yet on the camera, but the fox did, the night before last, but only briefly.

I have to report, that we no longer have "Cyril the squirrel."

As the squirrel feeder is quite close to the French windows, from observations, we've realised it's

    "Sybil the squirrel."

'arry is comimg earlier for "first dinner sitting," around 9.00pm when it's still light.

That's what it is, "a sitting." Because as his feeding flowerpot saucers are only about an inch deep, he actually sits down to eat and sort of moves around the dish as he eats. He disappeared about ten, then came back before midnight to finish the rest.
He's appearing regularly on the camera, three times last night, 10.00pm, midnight and 2.00am. So he must be all over the garden. He's not triggering the PIR on the side of the garage, so much, but he is triggering the camera even when he's about twenty feet away.

Technical point. My laptop wouldn't let me delete the files on the SD card. The other day I went on the internet and found all sorts of weird and complicated ways of achieving this. But didn't bother.

I've been putting the card back in the camera and then clicking on "format" on it, that gets rid of the file. so it wasn't a problem.

Anyway, this afternoon I changed the name of the file and copied and pasted it into my 'arry file. (I've one now like I made for "Fiona.")
Having done that, I found as I'd changed the name of the file, I was able then to delete it on the card.

It could be that they have found some "natural food."

I guess they're always looking for it. I saw on one of last night's videos, 'arry climbed up over the low wall to the right in the last picture. We have dahlias in there, which aren't showing yet, but they do suffer from slugs each year.
As obviously I'm not going to put down any slug pellets, it'd be help if he "checks it regularly for any this year."

Yes that's right, they don't like the rain as well.

It might be my imagination, but it looks like 'arry is putting on bit of weight. "Out and about" at half ten last night.

    He always "clears his plate."

That's why we call it 'arry, as it could be Ariadne.

    Last night's photo.
