So true Odif. The climate is our main threat in the Garden. My bright idea about growing my own plants from seeds this season is not so straight forward....Petunias have not grown as yet, several weeks ago planted those..so ... Petunia's bought some plants today in Lidls, 12 Flowering Petunia's @ 1.79 euros each. Left the Chilean Potatoes Plant that was 6.99 euros as the leaves were dropping in situ. Over to the Garden Nursery they had a slightly larger Chilean Potato Plant, but is was 25.99 euros..No,a sure No to that price. I bought some ssmll dark pink Begonias to add to the hanging baskets. One tiny Dicentra..will nurse that in a pot as I am knowing that they rot down to nothing and re-grow the next season so easy to dig up or ruin by mistake...
Sun and Showers today around high of 14 C degrees, wind a bit brisk at times managed some more in the Garden doing you know what on the driveway...making headway still....

Did a bit of weeding during my lunch hour today. The side bed really needs it, but with the shade and the wind, it was cold!

It was a golf day so nothing apart from having a look round to see what needs doing tomorrow.

Nothing in the front garden. Just got to wait for the lawn to recover.

The "lollypop" tree is at its best. one rhodo is out, another to come

and our azalea "hedge" is nearly there.

I prune it back a bit later in the year as it encroaches on the pavement, well it was, but it's tarmac now. The council removed all the paving slabs two years ago as people who park their cars with two whees up on the kerb were constantly damaging them.

I need to get into the rockery in the back garden to weed out bits of grass from the phlox.

The bit to the right of the fountain really thrives in three inches of soil as the concrete collar of the old koi pool is still under it, but more grass in there.

This little tree at the bottom of the garden needs a bit of a prune. I do it through the year, as it keeps chucking out new growth.

There's a bit of weeding to do here and there and there's some grass from next door's that always creeps under the concrete base panels of the fence, so I'll take a hoe to it. But really I'll only looking for things to do.

I'll probably steam clean the vinyl on the tea-house floor. It has its own machine, one my wife was going to chuck out as she bought a better one for the kitchen.

Helped hubby cut the front grass and sowed some more wallflowers.
I like a lot of them, was watching the bees going around them.

We are into the last 20 days of school, we went back to in-person when there was just 37 days. I am so busy with the still virtual students and the in person, it's crazy.
My second raised bed was put in a week ago. I have carrots, kale and lettuce coming up in my older garden I planted them before the frost was done. We had a frosty night last week so I'm still waiting to plant the other plants, I started inside. My son and I went and checked my boysenberries, it looks like they are going to be loaded! I've added more garden for them to stretch out. Some of my garlic that I planted last fall is huge. A couple look big enough to pull up, but I heard 4th of July is the time. They say, "Knee high by 4th of July", well these are past my knees, so maybe it's knee high for someone taller them me? 6'2" maybe? That's a foot, so the knees must be higher then mine. I remember in high school the popular thing was to put inserts in the legs of your Levi's to make bell bottoms. One of the basketball players didn't want his so I took them home and removed his insert. (I wonder how tall he is now). That insert that went to his knee went all the way to my thigh. So like I said, must be taller knees.
Not much else is going on, here. The neighbor gave me an arbor so I'll paint it and put it from one garden to the other and plant something that can climb on each side. I was thinking tomatoes on one side. I'll probably do that this weekend, my granddaughter is staying the weekend with her aunt and uncle (my son). I probably won't get back here until school is out so I hope all of you are doing well and can get your gardens going.

I transplanted 20 something bell peppers out and I harvested Bok Choy, a nice bunch of roses and some strawberries too. Then the clouds started and now it looks like rain this afternoon.

As I have, there is the facility in the settings for posters to add their location below their avatar photo. But it's easy not to notice them.
