Have been invaded by hummingbirds !

    When feeders get low they sit and stare at the window ! They chirp and buzz my head til i fill them up ! Think I will put them on a diet !

    Mart, we had hummingbirds on the Salvia Greggii today, and on the feeders, too. We also get butterflies on the syrup feeders.
    Occasionally a hummingbird will come up and stare in the patio door, as if to ask when those lazy humans are going to refill the feeders (which are not empty, but hummingbirds are demanding).
    Don't try to put them on a diet--they have sharp bills, although small!

    Don't you love them? They seem to have quite a presence despite their tiny size. I saw one little male trying to chase away a flock of chickadees that he apparently thought was invading his turf (aka my perennial garden). They have a point of view.

    I so agree Eileen .... and Partridges, and Pheasants too, but especially the Partridge - they can strip a row of peas before you have time to blink :rolleyes:
