This lady started early: I like the decorative cabbages. They look good until the frost gets'em: This Geranium is a self-seeded baby growing in my garden path. The mother plant died and I have to move this to a safer location: I had to ask the Primula if she thought blooming in November is a smart move. She didn't answer: Of all my Colchicums the double white ones are the only ones still blooming. They didn't like all the rain we've had lately:
Well Droopy, they say variety is the spice of life...that is quite a variety of blooms, mate. My gifted colchicums were finished last week. They are the last ones standing in my flower garden usually. That Primula is a cheeky lass isn’t she.
Today was a very nice day. Not a lot of wind and a bit of sun so I started tidying the borders. I found two rather good-looking plants: The grass didn't turn proper golden this summer, but lime is fine. It goes well with the Helleborus that had a name tag but now is named "Amnesia" until further notice: This little autumn blooming crocus came from my mother's garden as a stowaway in a Rhododendron camtschaticum. We had some tough divorce negotiations earlier this summer but some of the bulbs refused to leave the Rhododendron. The ones I managed to get out are planted here and there, but they were small so we didn't get many blooms this year. Ah, well, it's pretty and we're happy to see it anyway.
