Hawk in flight

    The Cornell University's Feeder Watch started this weekend, and we had a Cooper's hawk land in a cedar in the field. My husband was taking photos, and was lucky enough to get one of the hawk taking off and in flight.

    You can see the power in those legs as the hawk took off. Yet another excellent photograph.
