This is especially for you Mart but I must apologized that the veggies are from a different bed. The children were back and I harvested that bed a little early and forgot to photograph them. Anyway these are the usual veggies that I planted only a day apart. There are 3 different types of veggies here - Choy Sum, Bok Choy and Pak Choy. These are Cantonese name The seeds were sown a week apart for each type so that they all stay nice and juicy by the time I finished harvesting or should I say eating them Today's harvest enough for a meal for 2 This Choy Sum have a thick centre stem and it is the most delicious part of the plant. There are many varieties and this is the one I like best. For wonton noodles, choy sum is a must have

Wish we could get those off season here ! I have been making Kimchi and need to make another batch ! But not everyone has napa cabbage here !
Thanks Logan, they are tasty Sjoerd thank you. The hoops are made from excess water pipes when my son renovated his house. Without the net the veggies will be holly OOPS!!! I mean lots of hole Is there a single word to describe lots of hole? Mart the Pak Choy is something like napa cabbage but I do not plant them, err ... can you plant them in your location? I mean the napa cabbage.
I know what you mean, KK—we have to cover our brassica’s as well. Here its the wood pigeons that decimate them as well as caterpillars.
Same here as well as the slugs and snails so I don't grow much veg anymore, only fruit, less hard work. I don't think that there is a word, but we get the idea KK Ng.
I know what you mean Loggie, but of course fruit has its pests as well, like Cydia funebrana larvae, climbing rats, tits, wasps to name a few. You know, I believe that I spend as much tome on combatting pests as I do actually growing the fruit, veg and flowers. Haha. It is always a challenge because I do not employ chemical intervention. We could have a good natter about it all, but the fact remains that you grow some striking plants there which more than makes- up for the absence of fruit and veg. KK— you could say that your plants would be “laced with holes”.
Sjoerd I do have trouble with wasps and black birds on the blueberries, but I can cover the blueberries and I can harvest the fruit before the wasps get at them and thank You.
No KKK,, Texas is way too hot during the growing season and I have never seen seed for them here ! Just buy them,, its easier !

This is today's harvest for lunch and dinner. These are some of the bok choy ... oops! looks like my fingers want to be in the photo too, sorry Anyway these are the mini variety which is tender and sweeter than the regular type.
Your harvest looks so fresh and good. Well done. They literally look like they came right off the plants, which they did I reckon. You know, KK— its great to see someone harvesting fresh veg at this time of year. We are all done here.
