We will! Glad you got to go for a nice walk. I'm aiming for one on Friday.

I was whipped out up the road to fetch sushi for lunch. The weather wasn't too bad. The worst will be tonight and tomorrow. So sorry about your pasta! Your chicken sounds delicious.

As long as we don't get hurricanes I'm sort of OK with whatever hits us. What worries me is the power lines in the mountains since it's raining up to thousand meters above sea level now. That's what might cause avalanches and land slides. Aaand since you put it that way I might just misbehave a little to get the pleasure of your company.

I'm just being my odd, weird self, you know? That's because I didn't post any and I don't know why those symbols are there.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -2°C and overcast.
Today is Thursday and that means that its shopping and errands day.
My parents were always creatures of habit, doing certain things on certain days. I think that has happened to me as well.
I've got a decent sized list of groceries I need, hopefully the supply chain isn't too broken here.
Have a great day all :)

Good morning! We have sunshine and a chill, but not too bad. I put a small Boston butt pork roast in the slow cooker to made pulled pork. This is a two day process--first day, rub and refrigerate, second day, slow cook then cool and shred. I keep two person packages of pulled pork in the freezer. Thaw, heat, slather on some barbecue sauce and you have yourself a good lunch!
This is a day for me to catch up on all those little jobs I've been putting off, so the day will be moderately busy. I hope all of you have a moderately busy day, and a good lunch!

Good Friday morning all. Currently -13°C and sunny.
DD had a nice skate on our front lawn 'rink' yesterday. Its not the arena, but it will have to do until lockdowns are over.
Today I'm going to tackle the boxes in the corner of my bedroom, that came from my parents house. They've been sitting there for months and I finally have the desire to open them up.
Have a great day all :)

Good morning! Our internet service was down this morning, and I realized how much I enjoy seeing who is doing what in the garden, hearing from Netty on this forum, and generally reading the news of the world. Thankfully it came back before I had a complete breakdown!
Relaxing day today, just making some stock and trying to clean up the kitchen a bit. Hope you all have a relaxing day, too.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -27°C and clear. BRRRR!
It sure was a quick dog walk today! We'll go out again later, although it isn't supposed to warm up all that much today. Our predicted high today is only -14°C.
Yesterday didn't turn out as planned. Instead of sorting the boxes in the corner of my bedroom, I ended up canning up a big batch of chick peas and then a friend called.
She knew I was wanting to learn how to do stained glass, she was cleaning her basement and gave me all of her stained glass equipment! I went over to pick that all up and have tea with her and now there are more boxes on my bedroom floor! The cold temperatures might help keep me inside today to sort all this stuff out and clean my craft room.
Have a great day all :)

Brrrrr is right, Netty! The wind is whipping, and although the temperature is in the low 40's, it always seems colder with a stiff wind going. Today is bread baking, French and foccacia. I asked my husband if there was something he'd prefer I do instead of bake, and he, bless him, said, "No, you go right ahead and have fun." He is so considerate.

Oh Jane, you are so good for my sense of humour. I alarmed my Bride , who was cutting onions for freezing over at the breakfast bar, when I read your posting. Oh dear me. My tum is aching now.:(

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -14°C and sunny. The sun actually feels really warm if you stop and put up your face towards it. I am waiting so patiently for spring!
Yesterday I got part of the craft room cleaned up, and the stained glass stuff sorted. I even tried cutting a few pieces of glass, which went rather well considering it was my first time and I only watched a video. Today I might try joining a few pieces together. I already have a goal for where I want to go with this craft ... an insert for my back door. I'll need a lot of practice first! Have a great day all :)

Netty, Zigs makes wonderful stained glass panels, window lights, etc. If you get stuck (pun intended!) you could ask Zigs for help.

Good Monday morning all. Currently -7°C with heavy snow falling. It's been snowing for hours and the roads are a mess. School busses are cancelled on their first day back after the latest shut down. DD and I are supposed to babysit the grandkids today, not sure how that will work out just yet due to snow.
I spent part of yesterday watching introductory stained glass videos and getting familiar with all the tools/equipment. Not sure I'll have time to do anything with it today.
Have a great day all :)
