Oh-oh-oh, it's beautiful! I grow this in a container by the entrance. The blooms aren't much, but the foliage is very decorative. Not only in March, but all year:
Fact. Seed of many of the primulacea family can be sown prior to ripening. Also, most of the plants are easy to divide, thus providing a continuous supply.
This dame is very sluggish but she was looking for a place to setup housekeeping. When I found her she was on the ground beside my auto. I almost stepped on her. I just moved her to the little tree to let her warm up On my lottie we are getting some colour now. I have large areas of dispersed stands of crocus plants and the daffs are budding. This one little place off to the side shows three types of spring bloomers. I have tried to take an overview of the crocus display but it just doesn’t work sadly.
Awww, poor Bumble. I hope she warmed up and found herself a home. Lovely blooms! We have crocus tommasinianus in bloom now, so things are looking up:
Thanks @Logan and @Sjoerd. They self-seed everywhere and have tiny bulbs, but we just let them be because they're so early and cute. The early insects like them, as do the small roe deer.
Clivia I grew by crossing a Deep orange petal Holland Clivia, with a Light yellow variety about 20 years ago. It blooms twice a year. These flowers just emerged this week.
