Good Monday morning all. Currently -3°c and sunny. It looks like its going to be a beautiful day!
We had a great visit with my grandkids yesterday. My sister came along so we didn't go to any stores, so we will do that today.
I also hope to get some more seeds planted today.
Have a great day all :)

Skies so bright blue it hurts the eye, temps so perfect you cannot tell hot or cold, humidity so balanced your skin is neither dry nor sweaty. :kiss:These are the days my friend ...

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -2°C and overcast.
I noticed a lot of animal tracks in the fresh dusting of snow on my walk this morning. We followed 2 raccoon tracks, a skunk, and some other yet undetermined animal all the way down the road. I giggled at the though of this midnight walk of these animals
I sowed my tomatoes yesterday, 25 varieties! Good thing I expanded my veggie garden!
Off to DD's chiropractic appointment this afternoon.
Have a great day all :)

Good morning! Today is 9°C, cloudy, windy and rain forecast later. I need to do some housework and assemble an IKEA cabinet, then I need to pack a small suitcase. We're off to celebrate a 20th birthday tomorrow. I'll see you Sunday.

My goodness, @Netty, I've only seen that many varieties once, at the Floriade ten years ago. I am now looking forward to a group photo with one tomato of all the varieties you've got.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 1°C and foggy.
High is going to be 9°C today, and that makes me happy as most of our snow should melt. I am super eager to get working out in the yard, so much to do!
I couldn't help myself Droopy! My weakness in the gardens are tomatoes and hostas. I just can't get enough of either! In my quest to find the perfect tomato, I have found so many "must have" varieties and keep trying new ones! Thankfully I have the space to plant at least one of each variety, plus my row of 'Amish Paste' canning tomatoes. Nothing quite like the taste of a tomato picked fresh in the garden in the heat of the day!
I guess I shouldn't mention that I just found a new Hosta specialty garden centre less than an hour from my house haha Should be an interesting season!
Have a great day all :)

Whooops! May the Force be with you! At least you can eat both the tomatoes and the Hosta, so technically you're just expanding your veggie garden. That's become my excuse when it comes to Hostas, and I'm sticking to it!

Good day, all! I went into town for my weekly foraging trip, and had good luck finding everything on my list. The guys at the feed store presented me with a six-pack of tomatoes. We really didn't need them but I can't refuse a gift and the guys were so happy about giving me the plants.
When I got home and put away the groceries and chicken feed, I chitted potatoes in the barn. They will cure for a couple of days and then get planted.
I hope you all have good fortune today, get what you want, and enjoy!

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 3°C and overcast.
Off to do my errands and shopping and then I plan on spending the rest of the day outside. It's going to be 15°C today, and I'm going to enjoy every moment!
Have a great day all :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day to Frank and anyone else of the Irish persuasion!
Today will be in the mid-60's, so I'll be able to garden and not get chilled. The broccoli will go in, but I'm waiting to plant our tomatoes and peppers until the nights get warmer.
Husband is in the workshop with Timi the cat, sharpening our garden knives. I told him Timi doesn't need her talons sharpened!

Good Friday morning all. Currently 1°C and overcast with light rain starting.
Yesterday was an absolutely glorious day! Temperature went up to 17°C! Most of our snow melted, the water was flowing, and the birds were singing.
I managed to get part of my garden shed cleaned out finally and the greenhouse organized. Hubby needs to add the automatic window openers before I can put any plants out there ... temperature was 47°C in there yesterday! Just had a peek at my tomatoes upstairs under the grow lights and they are starting to germinate!
Oh can spring finally be on its way?
Have a great day all :)

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 5°C and raining.
My enthusiasm seems to dwindle with the rainy weather. This morning we are off to the rink for a few hours, then home to do some cleaning.
Rain forecast for the next 3 or 4 days, but I hope weatherman is wrong. Sunshine motivates me.
Have a great day all :)

Good morning! Sunny Sunday, 9°C and rising and I'm planning to borrow an Icelandic and go for a hack today. I decided not to drive anywhere this week so I'm taking the bike. I might get to clear a border this afternoon, very quietly since it's Sunday. Enjoy the day!

Good Sunday morning all, and Happy Spring! Currently 1°C and overcast with pockets of rain.
Spent my morning dog walk picking up garbage off the side of the road. This will be my usual walks for a few weeks now as the snow melts. I filled a black garbage bag today. Why do people have to be so ignorant and throw garbage in our ditches anyway? Makes me so angry!
Not much to do outside in the rain today, so it looks like indoor activities today (aka cleaning)
Found the first Snowdrop blooms yesterday in the back garden, and a lone blooming viola.
Have a great day all :)

We celebrated spring by planting green beans and potatoes. We checked the trellis for the sugar peas. If it needs tightening it is so much easier to do it now than when peas are climbing all over it.
Now we're going to watch the Formula One race in Bahrain. I'm torn--Ferrari, which is my favorite team, has starting pole and third positions, but that adorable Max Verstappen is racing and I always root for him. If only he'd transfer to Ferrari, I'd be a happy woman!
    Enjoy spring!
