I picked some cherry tomatoes, tied up more of the cucumbers and a stem or two of tomatoes. My husband was weed whacking in back of the barn and out of curiosity, did a bit of potato dibbling. He came up with a half-dozen baby red potatoes, which we will enjoy at dinner tonight!

@Sjoerd ask and you shall receive :). I repotted it, gave it some fertilizer, and it's now in the sun all day. The leaves are pale. I hope new leaves will be darker green.

I thought about previous ones I owned. One of those was pale at first too. It looks remarkably similar to what I have now.

That one greened up better with some TLC.

Here is that same one a year later.

I must like them LOL. Here is one I grew in 2013.

I don't know what happened to those. They are easy to over-winter. However, I was quite sick at the time, so maybe I gave them away.

Beer. I find it balances out the lightning from the thunderstorms we have been getting in the late afternoon.

Nothing today it's raining again but the garden needs it, but it soon dries up this time of year.

I'm on all four today, cutting grass edges and pulling weeds from under the bushes and around the trees in the back garden. It's Second Pentecost Day and a holiday here, so no noisy equipment out of respect for my religious neighbours.

@Logan Your climate sounds like mine. We have more rain this year than in the past several. I think the reason we have more rain, is I finally learned how to put together an effective irrigation system. I hope I didn't overdo it, or there will be mass flooding.

I started installing weed barrier in my garden of shame. It will take a while to complete the job. Then comes the more attractive wood chip mulch. It's a big job, but worth it,

Picked blackberries, blueberries, yellow squash and beets and some onion because they were in the way of yet more tomato cages. And mowed about half the lawn after trimming it.

My blackberries are in flower and the blueberries are still green but next month they will start to ripen.

Thanks for showing those Brug pics. I like looking at those exceptional blooms. About those leaves though— I wonder if a very light sprinkle of blood meal would help them green-up a bit.

It really is a majestic plant with sometimes stunning blooms. The ones that you have had are stunning.

Rehabbing perennial beds. Feels good to thin things down. My compost piles are getting pretty high. One is over my head!
