We had two of these on the screens this morning. Either they aren't getting enough to eat, or are on a very strict diet! Locally they are called "stick bugs".
Ya gotta be from Texas to see walking stick bugs.. over 3000 species on every continent except Antarctica…kids like them as pets they are cute and harmless.
Oh yes ! We are in the lone star state ! Walking stick bugs are common here ! But like MG says,,, they could gain a little weight !
My daughter used to have Stick Insects as pets. I loved the way they moved. Sometimes it was hard to spot them amongst the foliage and twigs we had in their tank. We eventually had to give them to our local zoo as they multiplied so fast.
I think they're cute! Our grandkids had them as pets. Unfortunately the people at a flower shop sold them a plant treated with pesticides and that was that. We get to see yellow stick insects when we visit Greece, and I smile every time I spot them.
