When a much needed new toilet is being installed ....and you are more excited that Hubby agrees to give you the old one as a flower planter next to the outhouse.
Your out in the freezing snow knocking heavy snow off tree branches and pelted on the head from the falling ice clumps.
NOT to save the branch … I eventually torched it then removed it from the driveway blocking the entrance / exit , so I can get in or out and to receive deliveries. We can get some wicked ice storms in winter.
When you are using your snow blower to clear snow....and all you can think of is "I wonder how this machine would work on mulching and shooting out leaves for leaf mold??"........
You just love the look of your garden plot when it's all nicely tucked in and ready for it's long winter sleep. You get concerned about your neighboring 80+ year old fellow gardener who is overheated in the hot hot summer heat, so you manage to persuade her to lie down for a bit on the cool grass in the shade. Then you decide to plop down next to her and you two chat about your mutual garden plots, watch the clouds go by and comment on the birds flying by overhead. The two of you spend an hour doing this.
When your power washing the clogged needles from the trees.the needle can get so built up on the lower limbs the weight when it rains can crack a limb off especially during a wind storm.
When you are mentally weeding and pruning random peoples gardens as you stroll past them. Another sign is that you have to have a certain plant and you wake up in the middle of the night dreaming about this plant and you are really gutted that it was just a dream.
@Odif oh yes, I mentally weed, prune & re-landscape gardens as I walk. Sometimes I repaint houses and eliminate poorly designed additions. Despite all this work, I come home refreshed.
