Thanks Mel glad that you can feed your birds as well. I put sunflower hearts in the feeders. Don't bother with peanuts they don't like them enough to buy them.
Thank you … This has been heart breaking … I am hoping he comes home soon. They want to put him in palliative care and I said no way. Plz get him to where he can move a little better and send him home with family.
Hang in there, it can be a very trying time with loved ones hospitalized. Spent too much time in ICUs and hospitals over the last 5 years (both precovid and Covid times but none of it Covid). It’s a long journey no matter the length of time.

Much harder watching loved ones ill, than being sick yourself. Seeing both my son and husband with life threatening conditions was indescribable. Found the medical professionals and hospitals each have their own views of the world and medicine in general. For my son, it created a life changing career change. He is now studying to be a nurse and works as support in the operating room. Not a direction he’d ever have taken without his 7 weeks in the hospital. You never know how life experiences will move you.
Pacnor— Meid, I missed that your man was in the hospital. I am so sorry to hear that. Spending two days on a gurney whilst waiting for a room to come free— just sounds unimaginable. Gadzooks, it must be serious. I hope that he will soon be home again. Have you been told how many days he is expected to be in the hospital? Everything here is crossed for you guys.

Pacnor, that is tough news. Of course I am wishing you all the strength in the world in dealing with his unhappy situation. You have my good thoughts and empathy. This is a caring family on this website and I am sure that all members join me in these thoughts.
Sjoerd and Logan. Thank you. “Life is a Gift”. Continue to stay intouch with garden friends and gardening is very helpful. The horses are great therapy ..as the dogs can always bring smiles and laughs. I bring the dogs for short visits and DH will be covered in doggie kisses.

Pacnor, how did we miss the distressing situation you have outlined. How I wish there was something practical we could do to help you out a bit. Surely your hospital has some kind of system in place to enable a visit? The heart attack I had earlier this year caused Zigs a few visiting problems, but with the appropriate tests and clothing with masks he managed to come in a couple of times. It's a horrible time, but keeping busy does help. My old mum used to say ''these things all come....... to pass'' Let's hope this will soon become a memory and you will both be smiling again.
