Monty Python is my favorite source of comedy. No one else cones close. As for which movie... I don't know!

Today I did a little indoor gardening.
I can't vouch for it because I don't know if it will work, how good they are, or how productive.

The label claims there will be mushrooms in ten days. Hard to believe.

I also crushed dried eggshells for the raised beds.

I used to use the food processor for that, but I was concerned the eggshells might dull the blades and abrade the plastic parts. Mortar and pestle are just as easy, and nothing to damage. If we can't get layer food for the hens, I add eggshells to that. Mostly they go into garden beds for calcium.

More seeds to sort through. Who ordered those? I don't need more seeds! Oh, I did...:whistling:. Never mind!

I have been eyeing these Daniel. My daughter has a friend has uses them and really loves them. I'd like to see what you think. :)

And SEEDS!!! I just did my last order....I think. I'm hoping it will be at the store/post office tomorrow, otherwhise I have to wait another week. I changed my mind about no artichokes this year, so I needed seed. ( I'll do 2 not 12 this year). Very exciting stuff, this seed business. :)

Brilliant job - it will really make a good wind/snow break. It's great now this is finished, as I have a few more jobs on Zigs list :smt057 ... :chuckle:

Mel, I'm an easy target when it comes to people selling garden gimmicks. I hope the mushroom kit grows, but who knows? I also have four logs in the shade outdoors. Two with "Chicken of the woods" and two with "Shiitake". I hope they will be mature enough to sprout mushrooms in the Spring. There are certainly a lot of mushrooms in the wet part of the wood bin and in the woodchip mulches, but who knows if they are edible? I'd like to keep my current liver.

I agree with you, seeds are exciting. They are tiny packets of potential, and give us so many choices and experiences.

Daniel…Who do you deliver meals for. I delivered meals for Fishes and Loaves up til 2019. Delivered meals for elderly sick and shut ins. They were located up on a hill and provided quite a challenge to get up the step grades during winter. However it had a great view of he Columbia River.

No leaves here. The few I pile up are frozen solid. just tons of cotton picker needles. With these wind storms they are everywhere. Power blower is very helpful after the driveway is covered in needles Daly from wind. We had winds 55-60 last night and lost power again forTwo days…

after watching some roads and. Sidewalks in Seattle were our ice the other day. Funny watching dog walkers shoppers. Why the city didn’t put out rock is sad. I guess even the rock /sand trucks were stuck due to ice.
    You tube Seattle .

Been weeding around the polyanthus along the path, can see how many of the crocuses have come up and plant the potted crocus in vacant places. Got a lot of verbena bonerences seedlings all over the place.

Great work Loggie. It is so good that you had those. A couple of years ago I gathered some up and planted them in a stand and now they are beginning to mature. They are one of my faves.
Will you be able to use them all?

I popped out to the lottie to check on things after the days of rain and strong winds. All was in order, but faaaaaaaaaaaaar to wet to walk on the beds, hoe or anything like that.

Nevermind, I fed the birds, chatted with a couple of neighbour chaps and took these piccies:

These are three clumps that are the furthest along.
When I dug out the three plum trees, I had to disrupt several stands of croci and daffs. I was interested to see if they would come up, because the spade did do damage. It looks like its going to be a colourful Spring.
