We had a snowstorm yesterday and overnight here in the Ozarks. I have 7 inches or more here in my yard. Some places got over a foot of snow. There are lots of power outages and lines and trees down. It is very pretty though. I took a lot of pictures and tried some night pictures. I guess my iPhone does not do well on night pictures. I am going to try and post my pics on FB, so I can get them into my computer easier. Hopefully anyway. I have been outdoors trying to clean up some of the limbs and branches that are down, but I will need some chainsaw help with the bigger ones. DS is out trucking and won't be home for a few more weeks.
Saw the storm in your area on the news. What a rough winter season, power outages are the worst. I hope you and your family stay safe and warm…keep us posted.
We are fine. The power was blinking off and on a lot today, but so far we still have power and heat. We are good for necessities.
Ouch! I've never thought of your area as a snow place, but I learn something new every day! Hope you'll get to keep your power. That snow better melt very carefully and not do anymore damage!

Southern Missouri is zone 6b for gardening. We get all kinds of weather. We can get well below zero sometimes, and into the 100s in the summer. Winters might be "mild" as in milder than Canada or Alaska, or New York/New England. That does not mean tropical. Some people get confused when realtors tell them we get "mild winters" as in thinking no snow or cold. It is not Florida here. We might get heavy snows and ice storms. Or it might be in 50s in winter? Occasionally it gets warmer, but that often breeds tornadoes. Missouri is part of "Tornado Alley", and we can get some very destructive ones. Some get all bent out of shape when we do get cold and snow and ice...

Thanks for the explanation, @AAnightowl. That was interesting info. I suddenly know a lot more about Missouri than I did.
The snow and ice is melted, for now at least. But I will share a few pictures of the damages, which I am still trying to clean up. You would not think 7" of snow is very much, but it was very wet and heavy. We had a light ice storm a few days later, but it did not do much damages at all. And then we had some high winds that brought down some more branches. Possibly they were already damaged from the heavy snow? There are some busted limbs high in the trees, but we cannot get at those. I guess they will eventually work loose and fall on their own, but hopefully not on us or the pets. I am still working on the cleanup. DS is home from trucking for a few days, so maybe he can cut up the bigger stuff like those one sticking way up in the air? I have been clipping smaller parts of where I can, but it goes slow.
My new shed and chicken coop is the only building that took a hit from the limbs, but there is no damage to it. I am SO thankful!
Thank goodness there is no damage from the storm or to the chickens? Your pics show a lot of snow on the trees and many fallen limbs A lot to clean up. UGH. I know the feeling we had a few like that and hoping no more snow storms severe storms. Speaking of snow … winds and snow today shut down power again. It wasn’t a lot of snow but the wind did a lot of damage .. downed trees /limbs and power outages.
My Bride really likes your snow scenes. It does look pretty heavy though. I find snow looks the most attractive when you don’t actually have to deal with it.
My chickens are fine, and began laying again yesterday. I got 3 eggs yesterday and 2 eggs today. I bought some plastic totes for nest boxes for them. I saw them in a video about making nest boxes. The guy cannot build and his wife found these in Walmart, they are for organizing, but the chickens love them. I sent my kids a picture of them, but the picture is not showing up in their messages.
