Thank Sjoerd.. I like the goos look too. Aww I know what you’re finger did but I also know what you meant..couldn’t resist the tease..
I like a good tease, Pac. Heh, heh, heh. I suppose I was typing in a hurry. We say here, haastige spoed is zelden goed (yet another variation of ‘good/goos’)
Ahhh, spring! Thanks for sharing the uplifting photos. You did a lot of work so the cookies were well-deserved. My time will come. Unless.... unless something has started to bloom while I've been busy elsewhere! Need to check later.
Hello rhubarb, my old friend! (Sung to "The Sounds of Silence) Some sedum. Some daffys Some daylilies. They need some slug bait. Oriental poppies. Even the ones I started casually from root cuttings are growing nicely. To take oriental poppy root cuttings, wait until the plants go dormant in summer, then try to dig them up. You'll get several broken-off roots that look dead. Plant them. They grow just fine. They are a lot like dandelions, or horse radish, that way. The old one will also return, from deeper roots.
Y'all know that this is the time of year when I officially hate every one of you showing photos of spring, right? No. No, I don't but the green outside pales compared to the complexion of my skin when I look at these lovely signs-of-spring photos.
@Daniel W - those look great. So nice to see new growth. Interesting to know about the poppies. I harvested some seed, and today they sproinked. Cuttings sound much easier hahaha. Now I have sounds of silence stuck in my head...except one of my students sent me the remix by Disturbed. I'll kick that one out and keep the original as my ear worm.
"Hello rhubarb, my old friend, It's nice you're growing there again! Because the winter wind was breezing And your leaves, they were all freezing, While the flavor, of those pies is in my brain, And remains, With the taste, of rhubarb" LOL, Im so bad!
Droopy and Cayuga it’s the Arctic Front clobbering southern Canada all the way across the US. I hope we don’t loose power. Have stacked all the candles , flashlights and wood just in case.
