Good Sunday morning all. Currently 0°C and overcast. A little more snow fell overnight, just a sprinkle, but enough to make it slippery.
We are doing something different today and heading to the mall! DD and I haven't been for quite a while, and we want to go to fabric land.
Have a great day all :)

My late best friend called house cleaning "home care"...because when you did it you were taking care of your personal space and making it better. She was a pretty cool lady. And....it made me a little less resentful of house work. But just a little.

The weather warmed enough today for a long walk. Hubby came up behind at a half hour distance and picked me up past the Falls. Got us both out. It felt great. Only -1 so brisk and beautiful. :)

Good Monday morning all. Currently -2°C and overcast.
Today I'll be working on skating club stuff, for our year end ice show. Lots of planning and it pays to be organized.
Have a great day all :)

@Netty - I love reading your posts. Your love for what you love always shines through. ( My goodness you have energy.)

I had an exciting day today. Hubby had a bit of cabin fever. And with a little help we got him into the tractor seat. He spent four hours moving snow with the front end loader. INCLUDING the front of my greenhouse, and as much as he could from the side. The temps look like above freezing and less than -10, so I'm going to plant some spinach and lettuce within the next week. I'll set up a chair for Hubby so sit and smell dirt - feel the sun :)

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -12°C and sunny.
I just had my first official sleepless night due to the planning of the year end ice show. Show is on April 1st and there is SO much to do!! I hope to get the timeline planned out today for the weeks leading up to the show. Then it will be gardening time!
I'm loving the longer days lately, and the clocks go ahead this weekend. Spring is almost here!
Have a great day all :)

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -6°C and sunny, but feeling more like -16°C with that north wind blowing. Brrrr!
I found a sure sign of spring when I stepped outside this morning ... a red winged blackbird! The Robins have also come out of the bush this week so I know spring isn't far away!
Have a great day all :)

Very good signs for you, Netty. So exciting, you make me excited.
I was feeling a bit down today because of the continued cold and rats, but after reading your hopeful posting, I feel renewed. Thanks.

Rats Sjoerd? That doesn't sound good.

It was a cool -14 this AM but with the higher sun and clear skies it warmed to 6 plus from 2 -3:30. Enough to feel like spring hasn't abandoned us. :)

Good Thursday morning all! Got -2.5 right now, a bit of sunshine and a lot of snow on the ground. Better than the -7.1°C we had at 7.30 this morning. We've got full winter again here, and more snow than we had in January. I can't do much about it but I'm not happy! So I sing a little song we learned in school 50-some years ago. Verse one translated from Norwegian:

    - January cold and ice,
    - February most likewise.
    - March won't always play along,
    - But in April there's birdsong!

Not certain what the weather is like in mid-Europe, but if this goes on for another three weeks I'll make the poet's words mine: - Oh, to be in England now that April's there! (Can't remember the rest of the poem. Will have to look it up.)

Sending warm thoughts to all Stewbies. Make your day as good as you can!

Friday already? Time flies! This morning we've got -4°C, a bit of very cold wind, and snow. More snow is coming. Actually, a lot of snow is forecast this week-end. Spring is postponed by at least another week. Again. The birds have stopped their courting calls and are busy emptying the feeders and the bowl of catfood we leave out for the feral cat. I need to buy more pears for the blackbirds and starlings. I'll spend most of today at the stables since I'm helping out a friend and have two horses to mind. I've got good clothes, so I won't be cold.

    Happy Friday!

Good Friday morning all. Currently -6° and overcast.
It was a very quiet dog walk this morning, compared to the last few days of birds singing. They must know something I don't.
Not much happening today. I need to clean my desk and gather tax forms etc
I also need to figure out how to make 6 spiderman masks that will fit over helmets for our ice show. Should be interesting as the budget is low.
Have a great day all :)
