Thanks Sjoerd. I'm looking forward to spending time with her. She is lovely. And
.....I can't back up a trailer. o_OI've tried and tried and tried again. My brain hurts when I try to figure it out. It's a left brain right brain thing I think. I'll unhook the bloody thing and repostition myself, or use the tractor and drive it in frontwards if I can. If Hubby is not able to help, it is the one time I call a neighbour and ask for assistance. One particular neighbour is very kind and discreet about my shortcoming. He backs it in...quietly leaves...never brings it up. It could be the apple pie that shows up on his doorstep the next day....:)

    What an angel.
I have said it before and I’ll say it again— I wished I lived closer, I would constantly be thinking-up little chores I could do for the big pay-off. Hahahaha. I do so like a tasty pie.

Melody, after Netty is canonized, you will be. What a nice neighbor you are!
Yes, we have debates here about standard vs. daylight savings time. There is even a bill up in the state legislature to let the voters decide whether to go on daylight year 'round, or leave it as it is, which inconveniences almost everyone.

Good morning! Spring is coming here! We had a Eurasian Collared Dove sitting in a tree, holding a twig in its beak. Nesting season has arrived! Dewberries are blossoming in the pasture, a sure sign of spring. And to top it off, the cat is shedding. We have small tufts of cat fur on the carpets, so she anticipates springtime also. My husband is out mowing the barnyard while wearing a heavy jacket and gloves. Ah, springtime in Texas!
    Hope your springtime springs soon.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently a chilly -19°C and sunny. I didn't realized it was so cold out or I wouldn't have gone out with wet hair! Yikes!
Having a nice hot cup of coffee now and warming up. My schedule is changing a bit today as I have a pre season staff meeting to attend today. Since I'll be in town, I'll do my errands and shopping a day early. Also there is a special skating session available tomorrow morning that I'm sure DD will want to attend, so it works out perfectly.
Its not feeling very spring like here today, but the sun is shining so that counts!
Have a great day all :)

Good Friday morning all. Currently 3°C and raining. This should get rid of the snow quickly!
Checked my seed trays this morning and found some cabbage and millet had sprouted! And so it begins!
Working on bookwork today, and later we'll be at the rink.
Have a great day all :)

Good Saturday morning! We've got 3°C and a little sunshine. The weather turned yesterday. It poured all day long. Our snow is melting, but there's so much of it still left, so spring won't be here for another week. Longer if the night temp is below freezing, and that's what the forecast says it will be. I'll enjoy today since it's going to be a dry day for a change. Hope you'll all have fun doing something you really like to do today.

It is our last freezing weather hopefully! It is also National Corn Dog day! Do you favor the chicken or the beef type corndog?

Quite a nice day here today. Has been raining overnight but now sunny. Gave me chance to pot up some dahlia tubers, all in 15Ltr. pots. Began to ache a bit, so time for a cuppa. Due to my heart valve problem, and general condition, I have to be careful not to overdo it. Had cardio valve check-up Thursday. Psyiologist lady....oola-la, took the time to explain my condition. I feel more relaxed now. I'm gradually getting the roses weeded, fed and top-dressed. I feel so much better after an hour with my garden.

Good morning. 3°C, rain, sleet, and the roads are treacherous because we get below-zero temps at night. Ice plus water is a bad mix in my opinion. But this, too, shall pass. I have no firm plans for today. We'll just roll with whatever comes along.

Hope you all have a pleasant Sunday.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -11°C and sunny with passing snow flurries.
A busy day yesterday with skating and grand kids so today is house work day. There is lots of laundry to do!
Have a great day all :)

Netty, do you ever take a day off? Reading your posts makes me realize just how lazy I am!
Today was cold, so we did inside things. I cleaned the bathroom (my least favorite task) and vacuumed. Husband polished the silver--for some reason he enjoys doing that--and fed the songbirds.
Very simple meals today, and we plan to do nothing more today!
Hope you all have a relaxing day, and don't have to clean a bathroom.

Good Monday morning! It's 2°C, a bit of sunshine, and ice everywhere! Temps are between 2 and 5°C during the day and below freezing at night. Bright side: the snow is melting. Bad news: ice is forming. But slowly, slowly the layer of snow is thinning. We found roe deer tracks and poo in the garden yesterday. That might mean I won't have to cut crocus foliage after they're done blooming (once they can poke through the snow). I might not get to enjoy crocus blooms either for that matter. Well, the deer were here before us and I'm not about to be up during the night to chase them away. I'll take deer over badgers any day.

Since I can't garden I have plans for house cleaning (including bathroom) and ironing today, but stables first. Have a good day, all!
