Odif, that shrub is beautifully scented - right? It's Osmanthus delavayi, and a big favourite of mine. This will be a very special springtime there for you I think.

When I moved I thought I had given up my morel bed. Seems that moving perennials also moved some mushroom spore. Makes me happy

 

Oh, those are the best! Growing up, my family went mushroom hunting every year - rural Illinois. Morels were my favorite food, breaded and fried.

Many years ago, I pollinated a deep red/orange Livia with pollen from a yellow one. This was the result.
