Our herbs in pots are doing so well that tomorrow I'll be harvesting marjoram, parsley, and thyme. The basil needs a bit more growth, and the rosemary is getting rather large, so I may have to harvest and dry some next week.
You are a hopeless show-off and make me so terribly jealous. Congratulations anyway. Things are beginning to roll now.
Harvest away! I can smell the lovely scents from here. Yum I’m trying to keep some plants sheltered from hail and cold wet weather Probably should have postponed putting them out
Jewell, to protect from hail, we put plastic pots over the plants (one, two, or three gallon pots) with a stone or brick on top. It works for us, and Texas-size hail is usually called asteroids! I'm cutting more herbs today and gave the lettuces seedlings a pep talk about how lovely they look in a salad. They are too young to be told they will be eaten.
@marlingardener your Texas weather is always amazing. Just wait a moment for the next extraordinary weather phenomenon. You just need to quit exporting it We tender feet don’t know how to deal
