I did that before, with cataract surgery. That was rough, but also interesting. Aye. Thank you Mel Im required to lay face down for most of the day and night now, so the retina laser burns heal in place I watched "Hoarders" on Netflix, on my tablet. Well, mostly listened to, with occasional brief glances Some brief breaks are allowed. I used some of those very carefully to repot a few tomato plants. As of today, positioning is a bit more varied.. If all goes well, I can be back up and around to what passes as my normal May 1. I miss my activities and endeavors. It ain't easy, but like so many things, I know I'm fortunate to have generally adequate health care (in this situation, I think it was quite good), to live where I can access it, to have a place to heal, etc. My goal is to be able to attend Cinco de Mayo festivities (food) in Portland on May 5.

Well that's it over and done with now so all you have to do is recover Daniel. I'm sure you'll soon be 'seeing' a big improvement. Take care until the healing process is complete.

Briefly this morning, I thought I lost all of the vision in that eye. Then I realized I was wearing the patch. Tomorrow's the last day for some of the eye drops. The decrease from six types to three. A week ago, just before noticing the sudden vision loss, I made this... into this Which resulted in increased friskiness. Most of the plant starts. They need more tending but I can't do it until my eye heals. For now, my helper wheels the rack outside in am, back inside in pm, Someone is slacking off. OK, time's up. Back to face down positioning.

Everything looks just perfect. I like your balcony railing. You keep your property looking tip top. The eye thing will pass. Many of us have had eye surgery for cataracts or closed eye glaucoma… many things that seem to sneak up on us as we age. You’re still way too young to let anything slow you down for long. And Rufus ! Awww…the look on his face in that close up , he looks so worried about you.. what a boy a dog to keep you smiling…thru a tricky time…. How lucky he is to have you. He is your Bud…
Today the ophthalmologist (not ichthyologist - that would have been kind of fishy) said the eye is healing rapidly. I can carefully return to normal activities, unless that means bungie jumping or flying. No trips to Machu Picchu. Those are still off limits. My vision tested normal. Kind of amazing after all that. I feel very relieved!
