I am fixing …tacos, cheese enchiladas and refried black bean… in celebration with the local Cinco De Mayo festival it’s rainy during the festival so decided to make all the fav dishes for my sweetie as he cannot walk well yet. AND oh let’s not forget those yummy Margaritas….
It must be Margarita season! We enjoyed some ribeyes and baked potato with carrots and asparagi. I cut apart the ribeyes so the lovelies get scraps, DW gets lean and I get smiles.
It’s barbecue season.. ribs on the Barbie this summer. But for Today - Spanish rice, Torta ahogada - burritos , taco salad and…Margaritas…YUMMM.
Chicken on the rotisserie with baked potato ( yam for myself) fresh lettuce and spinach salad. My Dad's old George Foreman rotisserie oven saves the day when the power is out. The gennie doesn't run the oven or dryer.
Tinned tomatoes on toast with fried potatoes and a fried egg with fruity brown sauce. Hubby had a toasted fried egg sandwich and a toasted sausage sandwich with brown sauce.
Leftover beef stew in Cuban bread bowls. Formula 1 race is being televised, and I am not going to miss any of it while in the kitchen cooking!
Dunno, "It's not my department." But I did make my own lunch. I had a crab salad. Easy enough for someone like me with no culinary skills. Some lettuce, red pepper, tomatoes, mayonnaise and a £3 can of Kingfisher lump white crabmeat from Tesco's. Lost interest motor racing years ago. I did see Stirling Moss once in my teens at Goodwood driving an Aston Martin saloon. I remember him doing a four wheel drift around the corner where we were standing, left hand on the wheel right elbow resting on the edge of the door, he had the window down. Well impressed!
Pizza with garlic white sauce and artichokes, sausage , pinapple, mozzarella , olives, pepperoni and green salad. With strawberry /Pinapple fruit mixed with milk , ice chunks and yeap a touch of tequila…
Hubby's birthday today - so the request is homemade icecream ( being made right now) that is to be enjoyed at various and random parts of the day. Supper is bringing the pub to the table - chicken wings, onion rings, french fries and veggies and dip. A cold dark ale will be in his frosted mug. When I forked the lower garden over I found one lost sweet onion that survived under the snow and soil. It will be the sacrificial onion for the rings tonight. A bottle of champage to toast his special day and binge watching season 5 Yellowstone is also on the ajenda at the birthday boy's request.
What a fantastic birthday. You are taking such good care of the birthday boy. He may want to celebrate several times a year. What good fortune to find that lost onion. It came just at the right time.I’ll bet you are crying for joy.
Veggie Lasagna night here. Personally I think it would be great over a nice piece of chicken like a parm. We had homemade pesto from the garden last night and some is left over. I wonder if I could work it in somehow
