Odif and Sjoerd thank you . I’m very happy you like the section of my garden pictured. It’s been many years in the making. The elderberry tree with white flowers in the middle on the arch is 25 years old. I have had to cut it way back clearing the canopy to reveal sun to the plants under and below the tree. It’s 25-30’ tall and the trunk 28” - 30” in diameter. Anyway it feed the quail, stellar jays. Red headed sap sucker and more. It seems it has the record for the largest Elderberry in the county. Now that is a strange record to accomplish. Much rather have my hybrid hellebore named some day.
Thank you . I think it is too. Hope to get seed from it this year that are viable to plant.maybe next year have more plant like it is the goal.
@Odif your plants are amazing. @Pacnorwest beautifully landscaped. That elderberry is quite grand, but I do love your hellebore.
@Jewell Thsnks, the abundant rains should take the credit though. This mushroom, known commonly as "devil‘s fingers" or "octopus stinkhorn“ looks really pretty, but it really stinks like a rotten corpse or something.
@Pacnorwest that is amazing fungi. I have never seen anything like it. The things nature thinks up! If something smells in the forest I will look for it
Loggie, I like it when you show walks with your doggies. Cow parsley.— I did not know what they were called in english.
