Busy busy @Daniel W . I like those little water sprinklers/irrigators They look really smart! I've never seen those before, just the oozing ones.

    Lucky Rufus!

And Holy Pine Needles Batman! They are HUGE! Is that a ponderosa pine?? I've never seen pine needles that long before. You could use those for kindling :D

Cleared all the died down foliage of the tulips and hyacinths, also pulled up the wallflowers along the edge of the path.

It's a beautiful, huge pine tree. I think it's a ponderosa. The needles do make good kindling, also a good mulch.

I seem to go for days when nothing needs doing until days like today when I noticed that there's a lot to be done.
This was our wisteria between the shed and the summerhouse, a week ago, the blooms were fading and dropping their petals.

So I got into it today, pruning the spines of the dead blooms.

    A lot of petals!

A case of sweeping and vaccing them up. Then hoeing in and giving the bed a good water so the wind doesn't blow them out of the bed.

    All done!

Dug some more grass out of the rockery.

    Dead-headed the roses.

and two rhodos, (the ones with no blooms). There will be another next week.

Two late flowerers. The tortoise shell one is really far too big for this garden, (see previous photo) I removed a few lower branches some years ago as they were spreading too far over the lawn. It has a wire round it to prevent further growth in that direction. Really, it wants a drastic prune, but I'm not sure it would survive.

Our two £7.99 purple rhodos from Aldi two years ago.

The lawn is now doing well, I've set my mower a bit higher as we're moving into the warmer weather, but it will get a cut tomorrow.

This sambucas is a bit lopsided, but it doesn't notice from the top of the garden.

Cleared both patios of wisteria blooms with my vac. But they will need doing again in a couple of days time.

Looks beautiful DHR. I really loved those white whisteria - the blooms looked longer than the purple ones? I can imagine cleaning up those wee blossoms would be quite a task that you would not want to get ahead of you. It all looks so gorgous.

That looks better, Loggie. What colour will the Snaps be?

Wonderful-looking pics, Riley. I like the action foto's with the fallen clippings. The Wisteria…tch! Yes, and mine is shedding spent blooms like confetti at a wedding too. Being on a lottie, I shall just let them fall and sweep it all up at once. It is ridiculous how they shed. I have to stifle my pollen sneezes to avoid a shower of those things.

With temps hitting the low 90's today the only thing going on in the garden will be watering.

    Love looking at everyone's gardens!

I'm too tired to post much. Up early and working until late. I THINK things are almost ready for a good growing season and a hot spell, on it's way!

Today I finished installing and testing the drip irrigation for two more intensive beds - mostly peppers and tomatoes. Next, install lines for the intensive beds of onions and garlic, and the two rows each of bush beans and onions in the ground. Fertilized, cultivated, weeded the onions. Planted another row of bush bean green bean plants. Most years, I start them in July - I think we'll be munching on green beans two months earlier this year.

Then plant the sweetcorn - one batch instead of the usual four this year. Then I'll set up irrigation lines for my helper's garden, which is a whole other story. If this year is like the last few, nobody wants to stand out in the heat and, possibly, smoke, watering by hand every day.

What a great video! Thanks Sjoerd for posting it. I have no idea what it was about, but I don't care. It was still fun.

Daniel— Glad you liked that vid. There have bee several commercials over the years and all have used that saying. Ridiculous, but great fun. Thanks for the comment, mate.
