I found this on internet. Stay safe..Sending Blessings your way.

The national meteorology institute gave a code red storm warning for a large part of the country, the highest level of alert.

Amsterdam's Schiphol airport, one of Europe's busiest hubs, cancelled more than 300 flights, a spokesperson said, with traffic expected to be limited until at least 3 pm local time (1300 GMT).

Residents of the Noord-Holland province, which includes Amsterdam, were sent push alarms on mobile phones warning them to stay indoors and to reserve emergency service numbers for life-threatening situations.

Train operator NS halted all train traffic in the north of the Netherlands, while a highway north of Amsterdam was closed due to falling trees.

Thanks for your blessings. We have our fingers crossed. I am expecting our garden to be a huge mess, possibly with some crop loss. We had just put up a brassica tent yesterday evening. I fear the worst. If the weather allows, we will venture out to the lottie this evening.

Cheers Eileen. We are keeping an eye on the weather, and it looks like the weather will be good enough to head out to the lottie after supper.

Hang on—I think I just heard that the Code Red may have been downgraded a bit to Code Orange.

Sjoerd, I hope any damage to your garden is minimal. Please don't venture out until you are sure it is safe.
On the bright side, isn't it heartwarming that so many people are worried about you, and care?

It sure is Jane. Heartwarming is the right word there. It means a great deal to me.

My curiosity is very strong, but after supper if the weather is going to be less fierce, it will be by then.
Thank you so much for your warm wishes.

My Bride found some pics of the damage: 55FE015F-9C26-4579-910D-FCAB9EF1C070.jpeg

I am guessing the foto above was taken in Amsterdam, as there are folks that live on some of the canals in their boats.

The next one was remarkable to see because we are so organised in this country that even the trees do things in unison:

now, this last one may not mean a lot to some folks but the British know and have a beach house culture. The same for here— my Bride’s family had a beach house that they put up and took down each year in IJmuiden. What a wonderful way for a child to grow up. It was a place with memorable experiences that are still talked about to this day.

Anyway, here is what happened to some today, somewhere in our Province:

How sad to see so much damage . Wind storms are so scary and to hear the force of the wind sounds like a freight train.
No damage to your home or garden ?
It’s hurricane weather for much of the southern states. Climate change has reared its ugly head around the world. Water damage is a huge concern. Insurance to cover damage is tricky.
    Sending heartfelt blessing your way…
Just check the weather there…looks better tonite.

    Weather report …
146 km/h measured in the northern port of IJmuiden.

It was the "first very severe summer storm ever measured" in the country, Dutch weather service said. There were pics on yahoo regarding damages from the storm.

Ta Pac. It is already looking better here. I am going out to have a looksy soon.
Our home is in tact, thank you for your concern. I will report back after the trip. My fingers are crossed, but I fear the worst.

Cayuga— Thank you. Yes, I will be careful and alert.

Sjoerd, Please, please be careful. The lottie can be cleaned up and replanted, but YOU are irreplaceable, as is your bride.

I just hope that when you drive to the lottie there will be no damaged trees on your route Please, Please, both of you, stay safe and take care if, when, you get to your lottie.

Ive been offline some lately, my body and brain have been needing some rest.

It breaks my heart, seeing those beautiful trees fallen over. Still, that's nature's way.

Is "weersomstandihefen" a long enough word? I think it could use some more syllables.
