More weeding, harvesting and planning. We will soon acquire the new strawb plants for next year. We are making te bed ready and in a week or so we’ll plop 20 plants in.
There is green manure in that bed at the moment. I may try and re-locate them.
Today it will be a processing day of yesterday evenings’ harvest.

Wonderful. Mine are also growing vigorously…even after losing about 1/3 of them to that heavy storm a few weeks ago. I could prune it every week if I wanted to….hang on. I AM pruning them every week !

Well Riley yours are all looking smartly pruned. I imagine that you harbour a little bit of pride in your chest. Wot.
    Well done.

I didn't do anything in my garden, but I did turn my compost and got two (2) five gallon buckets of compost. It'll help level up the new strawberry bed. My granddaughter will help me take it out this evening when it's a little cooler.

How big are your currant bushes? I want to get a pink champagne currant but I have limited space.

They're not too big, about 4 ft tall by 3ft. Every few years have to cut the older stems out because they don't produce so much on the old ones.

Still waiting to get a ripe tomato. I put some dirt down so the blackberries have a place to expand to. Watered everything. I think I might be able to harvest a couple bags of potatoes by late next week.I think the green tops will be pretty dead by this weekend so I'll move them away from the others and stop watering them. I checked out the basil and will cut some tomorrow morning to make pesto and freeze it. Not much else to do until stuff ripens. The October beans have changed colors, but they aren't ready to pick and dry. Now it's just a waiting game.

Willow—Good to hear your description of how things are going there. Don’t forget to show some pics when you get some good harvests. That way we can enjoy along with you.
