There were some people asking about the cucamelon I grow in my garden. They are also known as Mexican Sour Gherkin, mouse melon, and miniature watermelon. They are a frost tender, fast growing vine that is a member of the melon/gourd family. The fruit looks just like a tiny watermelon and they taste like a mild cucumber with lime. They are prolific and are a huge hit with my grandsons straight off the vine!

Yes, sort of. I didn't actually sow any seeds, but I ended up with several volunteers! They are kind of an acquired taste
