**** I have spoken with Mel. She her husband and doggie are all alright. They have poor internet at the moment but will get back on here when she can. She thanks all of you who expressed interest in her well-being from the bottom of her heart. She found your concern touching. A big thanks to you all.

I have asked Frank to make a thread especially about this for worried members here. I was more than a little worried about her precarious home-site.
( reposted in Melody's okay thread) Hello my friends. I'm so sorry to have caused worry. With the heavy smoke and a cranky satellite internet system we have not had internet. We do not have cell phone service where we live. We weren't able to adjust it until the smoke eased a bit. Fingers crossed it is fixed now. I am so touched by your concern and consider myself a very lucky lady. I was able to connect with Sjoerd when we had to travel to the city for a night. Our nearest fires are safely away from our home. BC has certainly struggled, and there are many still struggling and out of their homes, or homes lost. I'm very humbled and grateful that we are okay. Thank you for the kindness. You certainly all know how to touch a ladies heart.
