Jewel I really like your digiplexis berry .. WOW … I read that it is a tender foxglove , a breakthrough intergeneric hybrid! Combining Digitalis, a hardy perennial, with Isoplexis, a tender plant native to the Canary Islands. It’s amazing tall stalks covered in brightly colored flowers is a knock out . A stately plant that demands attention in any flower bed. As usual you have a beautiful selection of blooming flowers shown in your posts. Today we celebrate Rhododendron Season. It’s in full swing here in this zone. Many different colors . And… Oh and let’s not forget the Azaleas .
@Oreti love seeing foxglove with the azaleas and what an unexpected color on the iris @Pacnorwest great variety of rhododendrons. I am a bit envious. For such an old house it is surprising that my yard does not have more rhodies. Probably just as well since I has to pull out most plantings that had big leaf maple saplings and blackberries entwined in their roots. Yes, the new hybrid digitalis is very interesting. I got the plants from Costco and am curious as to how they will do. They are sterile so no self seeding. They were unfazed by the late frost but I will be surprised if they are winter hardy. I love foxgloves so of course they caught my eye and had to have them.
Although the wisteria blooms are pale they are plentiful. Really am not up to maintenance for this beast so the jury is still deciding whether is stays or not. With just me doing all the yard work so will eventually prioritize. It is a huge beast of a plant.
Jewel it’s just as well the jury is still out on your wisteria.your wisteria are beautiful. They need constant grooming and can take over a garden area and have more issues that sports illustrated… I need to get out and unleash the weeping cherry tree becoming entangled within the clutches of the wisterias long reaching tendrils . And seriously thinking about chopping them down to their skivies this season. They will be back. I’m not happy about climbing up on the roof 3-5 times a year. 30 years and my joints don’t keep up with my garden ambitions any more. Chinese double wisteria..UHG..

You folks are showing so much Spring beauty at the moment ! Loggie has Lupins on the go, Pac has once again a breathtaking array of stunning flowers on parade and Oreti’s dream world is in the same class as her colleagues. Boy, oh boy you folks must be over the moon…I know I am, just seeing what you are showing. Jewell, that Wisteria of yours looks to be just fine where he lives. It would have passers-by scratching their heads trying to figure our what kind of tree you have there. Haha.

Luv geraniums… so faithful.. aren’t they. Every year no matter how harsh the winter they pop up and bloom to reward us every spring.
