Since I started on this forum I've been asking a lot of Poppy questions. Thanks to advice to start them early indoors and very carefully transplant (@Daniel W )I can enjoy their flowers before frosts come. this is a new one for me that I planted in the upper veggie garden. It just opened this morning. The bloom is about six inches across and the plant is 26 inches tall. I'll definitely be collecting seeds.
Thank you Melody . Beautiful poppy you have in your garden . They last a lifetime. Have a similar in type in my garden for years. Defiantly critter proof if they last in my poor salad bar for critters.
Very nice lily, Clay. I remember my neighbor had them, when I was about 10 years old. I thought they were the most exotic thing I had ever seen!
I'm waiting for hubby to come back from shopping, so I've got a bit of time to take this, it's by the kitchen window. Verbena bonariences, the bees have just found them but there's not a lot of bees.
Christmas in July! Holiday cactus blooming. Buddleia I think the Buddleia variety is Miss Molly or Miss Ruby. It is legal to buy and grow in Oregon and Washington. Nasturtium

I will I'm quite excited about it. My poppies don't come back year after year like they do for many in a milder climate. I get excited if I get a few volunteers every year. Seed saving is a must if I want to enjoy them.

Thanks @Pacnorwest for your good wishes and kind and very much appreciated comments. I haven't had any time this week to do anything outside, so I'm and hoping for some serious catch up time this weekend. I can't wait to do the deadheading, every time I've passed by I've snapped off the odd spent blooms here and there. To me they look untidy and stick out like a sore thumb so can't wait to nip them all off.
Sjoerd- that shady corner has had so many changes and makeovers in the past 17 years. The Elderberry and Oakleaf Hydrangea have been the anchors in back, but I remodeled up front last year. I’m hoping it thrives and fills in. I planted a little baby Fothergilla and two baby gold boxwoods and am pleased at the growth they’ve put on this year. There is also a baby Viburnum nearby. I think I really enjoy growing shrubs from small babies! I’m hoping to watch the plantings grow and thrive because I don’t know how much more digging and changing I’m up for LOL
