No watermelons

    Hate to post this but my watermelons have met their demise from a critter. Haven't figure out if was rabbit, chipmunk or squirrel. First notice something bit thru a few vines. Checked the enclosure for breaches really didn't see anything. I even wrapped the fencing with mesh deer fencing but yesterday the remaining vines are dead. So far my melons in the containers have not been hit. I will have to identify the intruder and fix the entry point. Ah the sad side of gardening.

    So sorry to hear the bad news. Will you use a Trail camera or something?

    So frustrating. Guess critters will do as critters do. Hope you find a solution.

    Sorry they didn't work out, Clay.

    Yes, animals can make it more difficult.

    Do you have slugs? They have chewed through some of my vine plants.

    Also voles. They tunnel underground here.
