Oh super black-eyed Susan. Who doesn’t adore them…and what a wonderful little clematis so cute. Thanx for the pics. I had clematis ternifloria common name we call it Sweet Autumn. It out grew it’s space in a couple of years it is evergreen in my zone. Replaced it with climbing hydrangeas. They grow a lot slower a lot less maintenance.
Lovely! Clematis terniflora is a tenacious, invasive weed here. I've been fighting it for a decade and it continues to defy my efforts! Careful!

With the rain we've received the rain lilies are popping up. They aren't really in our garden, but in the lawn. They show up a day after a rain, then disappear after a day or two, only to reappear when it rains again. There are white ones also, but these are much more showy!
@marlingardener nice rain lilies. We get them all over in the pastures except they are pink. Fancy daylily Pelargonium peltatum 'Crocodile' is a broadleaf evergreen perennial or vine with gold leaf veins. Ivy geranium.
Thank you, Pac— I was surprised to hear that your ternifloras actually stay green over the winter, it is so cold here, it will not do that. Your. choice for a replacement was a good choice, wasn’t it. That pelargonium is a very interesting variety. Daniel— those are some very colourful fotos you are showing today. I really like your varieties. I am so surprised to hear that the Clematis terniflora is such a thug where you live. You know, it is a type 3 Clematis, and that means that they ought to be pruned in the winter or early spring. I prune mine back hard (to about twelve inches) above ground level. I throw the usual wisdom to the wind and remove all the seasons’ growth in october. This is because of where I live, we get seriously hard wind storms before october is over. The winds would blow over an arch loaded down with the clematis’ growth. How do I know this? Yep, it happened to me. This pruning means that it never gets away from me. Cheers Loggie. Bees in my patio container garden. Honeybee likes the little dahlias. Bumblebee says, "that's MY flower, honeybee!" "That's better! All mine!" "This one's nice too." "Yum. Dessert." Rufus says, "What's that humming sound?" I grew lots of zinnias this year. Mandevilla starting to bloom. I had a hard pruning and repotting this Spring.
I should have made a better description of the clematis when I described it as evergreen. Your right it’s not necessarily evergreen. WHAT? This perennials vine may not be evergreen in every garden, they do tend to keep their foliage in warmer zones, during winter, which is why they are considered to be mostly ‘semi-evergreen’ . Depending on how harsh or temperate the winters are in my zone 8b . Some semi-evergreen plants may not keep some of their leaves in some zones. They respond differently in every garden. In my garden they were planted in a protective spot near evergreen Douglas fir trees and kept their leaves in mild winters. It grew so fast that eventually had to take it out , it was taking over the whole section . They are now considered noxious weeds here in my zone . Back then during the dinosaurs era when I planted them they were not considered invasive. Now nursery’s cannot sell them in most states in the US. Since they escape gardens enter the forests grow so large and shade and strangle out limbs of huge 100’ fir and pine trees causing death to many trees in forests in the US. Any hooo…Long story …short…I like them and they do have a lovely fragrance . From my experience would love to have them again if only they could learn better growing manners.

You have managed to keep so many beautiful flowers and plants looking tip top. Rufus is definitely zoned in on something movin around on the flowers. I enjoy your garden so very much.
