Never noticed this bug before. New to me and it had have a good ole time chomping away at my lily buds. Will spray it with mint.
Any tips on what this is and how to get rid of it ??? Almost looks like a tiny grasshopper. It’s that time of year for them to show up.

I opened the petals more and it flew or hopped away. It’s 1/4” size. In that close up he looks like he’s a serious threat. I hope he doesn’t tell his other friends .

Don't know but I'm almost sure it isn't native and hitched a ride like the lantern fly and stink bug did.

Unfortunately picture resolution isn't very high , and no shot of the face , so hard to say for sure , but by looks , could be kattydid or maybe lynx or green spider.

enlargued lily pic stripes on legs.
IMG_2232.jpeg @Nate77 thanks will look the suggested insects up. After searching for kattydid I decided to look up ‘tiny grasshoppers’ and I found it. It’s actually a pigmie grasshopper. Never heard of pigmie type.
Stripes on legs and shape match.
    Ya learn something new everyday.
    Thanx

@Nate77 It’s funny when searching on the internet one thing leads to another and before ya know you lost track of what you were looking for in the first place and how you got to where you end up. Loosing track of time is another biggie .

When I lived in Colorado, the huge locusts one year was a horrible infestation. Clouds of them flew across the skies. Couldn’t walk outside without a shield or umbrella to keep from getting hit. Cars and homes , plants, crops were hit hard and quite a huge mess to clean up. I had ducks at the time they kept up with the onslaught until they became so fat they could barely waddle .

I can't imagine a locust outbreak like that , but about 3-4 years ago it rained mayflies here you couldn't walk without being hit by them.

Oh yea searching your start one one thing and end up on a whole nother subject that is in no way related lol
