Really nice pics of asters and snaps… the colorful actors playing an active roll in your late blooming flower garden. My asters are a bit behind yours and my snaps are done. Still holding out on a few dahlia’s poppin in the garden. ‘Otto’s Thrill’ ‘ Lavender Perfection ‘Vera Seyfang’
I love, I love, I love......what beauties @Pacnorwest !! That's the brilliance of Dahlias isn't it , they give us such a long season of colourful blooms.
Oreti absolutely …As dahlias tend to glow this time of year when most other garden flowers have left the building.
Pac— stunning dahlias, mate. I say…you have some remarkable plants there. Oreti— cheers. I am well chuffed with these delicate beauties.
Thank you Sjoerd and your plants and veggies are always remarkable. Love to see them and you always make all that hard work look so easy.

@Clay_22 thank you. There is a dahlia for everyone. There are 42 species of Dahlias and several sub species.
Thanks Pac— you may recall that I got these Dahlias gratis from a company that sold me an almost empty bag of another type of rots. They turned out fine. I do; however, admit mine are not as lovely as yours. Cheers Clay— I am glad that you like these Dahlias.
Sjoerd dahlias are a fantastic addition to any garden. There are 42 species of dahlias and many sub species. I have always wanted tree dahlias but that’s another story for another day. They come in an astounding range of forms and colors, their blooming period is one of the longest. In my zone they start blooming in late June and continue in flower until first frost. That longevity and variety of dahlia’s have given the dahlia the accolades it so richly deserves in every garden.
