When do you cut back bearded iris in Fall?

    I'm thinking it must be time now to cut back bearded irises. What do others do? Have you already cut them? Waiting for a hard frost?

    Mine have had a lot of disease issues. I think now that it might be rainy season again - at least today - this would be a good time for that.

    I trim mine back as soon as they show signs of disease or pests and dispose of the clippings.

    Mine were all showing spots on the leaves. I looked at youtube videos. Those showed the same. So they are all pruned back now.
