This time of year contributes to cravings for warm drinks. Hot toddy’s-hot chocolate or hot coffee mochas. I’ll take ‘em all. There is a time for warming up after out attending to garden and winterizing projects. @Sjoerd your hot chocolate pics has tempted many of us to race to our kitchens for a good ole fashioned cup of Hot Chocolate.
Pac— too right. It is old-fashioned…but boy, oh boy do I like it. Thanks for the warm comments. Oreti— mate I know, I know.
@Sjoerd thank you . I’m happy to hear your getting in the mood for fall. Gardening isn’t completely over yet it’s time to plant cold season crops .
Pac— good cartoons. Yeah, the growing season is almost over but for me gardening is an all year round hobby. It’s never really over for us, just a continuing process.
Pac— we call those Callicarpa . Whatever the name, they are really attractive especially when all the leaves on and around the bush have fallen. They are really lovely. You certainly have some impressive colour there.
Sjoerd thanks for your observations about the autumn color this season. Autumn color is very pretty around the country this year. I’m thinking your leaves are change too. Yes Callicarpa prufusion Beautyberry. They grow in US growing zones 5-8 . I think I’m in zone 8b - 8a . What zone are you in?
Pac— Our leaves over here are only reluctantly beginning to change colour. Not much action yet. I do not know what growing zone I live in. Crazy, eh? Clay— those are real beauties, mate.
Lot’s of leaf color back garden section with the rain and wind it will end eventually with tons of leaves to mulch. Sadie and Gracie flanking a friends big pumpkin. Roxy … trick or treat !
