Remember when I posted about having too much basil, too many cherry tomatoes? Well, now we are inundated with almonds. Our two almond trees are dropping nuts all over under the two trees.
We like almonds, although cracking the hulls and digging out the almonds is less than fun, but enough is enough!
Anyone have recipes calling for almonds, basil and cherry tomatoes all in the same dish?

Ingenuity prevails! We traded five pounds of almonds (in shell) for an equal amount of pecans. We didn't mention what a pain shelling almonds is. We figured the recipient of the almonds would find that out for himself.

@marlingardener good deal our hands and fingers can only take so much abuse cracking out nuts .
Thank goodness my hazelnuts are easy to shell. Very tasty… nutty nutritious nuts/fruits. The most complicated nut /fruit is of course the cashew and in my opinion the most delicious. This is a fall harvest and a huge export in Oregon.

    Great news, Marlin. Trading.
We did the same when we lived in AK. We always had beaucoup salmon…and there are only so many ways one can eat fish…so we traded the salmon for moose meat and reindeer meat.
    You did good, meid.
