One lucky duck!! Much too young for a mud bath.

I love Ducks! A few years ago, we had a pair of Mallards that came to spend the days in our back garden. They got very used to us and were fun to watch and interact with.

We have two ducks. The continuously dig into the soil for bugs and slugs and worms and who-knows-what. They are fun to watch, but very dirty birds. Mud everywhere. They are worth it for the entertainment.

I think duck egg production is better than chickens, but I don't care for the taste of duck eggs.

We had kaki Campbell ducks for ages. My son found old photos with him annd our first layer and decided he wanted to have ducks again. Unfortunately, His busy work and school schedule postponed it. Probably for the best right now with the avian flu being so bad.

Had Peking and Rouen ducks. Talk about watch dogs or attack ducks to strangers, they were the guard ducks. They best white mar Angie with eggs. Not that great eating duck eggs alone. Kinks of tough. Best mixed with chicken eggs onions, cheese and sour cream. Nice egg sandwich with sussage.
