Thank you so much @Pacnorwest and @Sjoerd.

It was a late surgery in the end..in the evening !! I didn't get back to my room until quite late.

I feel very proud of myself as staff seemed amazingly surprised that I got out of bed and walked to the bathroom an hour later and at about 2am.

Having a few issues as I came over a bit funny just after midnight feeling incredibly nauseous ( but wasn't) and extremely light headed but is passed in just 10 minutes and apparently my blood pressure had suddenly dramatically dropped . It happened again about 3am but I didn't call anyone and once again it passed over.
Then about 6.30 this morning it happened again thankfully at the time a nurse was doing my obs.
Bloods were low again and this time I vomited up all the meds I had just been given....7 tablets. She buzzed for assistance and 3 came and it was scarily manic in the room . I'm now on oxygen and being closely monitored. The machine next to me has finally stopped it's warning signal for low b. pressure at last and I'm feeling much better now.

I have 2 friends that work here and they keep popping by whenever they have free moments which is lovely.

Hubs and eldest son are on their way over and should be here soon.

As I mentioned to Sjoerd, the recovery nurse who was assigned to me for the hour following the surgery was a very keen gardener and we chatted non stop !! :)....he also told me that carrot tops make fab pesto..so must have Google about that as we couldn't write the recipe down in the recovery room.

Anyway I will love you and leave you now...thanks again you are such kind and caring folk.
Much love and hugs to you both.xxxx

Great to hear from you. Things are sounding good. Too bad you became a bit giddy for a while. Hopefully that’s gone for good.
    We are rooting for you.

Thanks ever so much for the Sit Rep.

Hi everyone I have just had another bout of giddiness so once again a night of monitoring. That is the 6th today but thankfully not as dramatic as the one at 6am this morning. I had been quietly confident that I was over it as I have felt better and my observations have been good so this one just now caught me unaware. They were even saying I could probably go home tomorrow as my ability to move around with stability and confidence was extremely good rather than go home Friday afternoon.....so we will now wait and see it that will still be the plan.
Not sure why this is happening but I'm wondering if it's a reaction to having an Epidural for the first time as in some cases it can affect your nerves and muscles and they did have difficulties inserting the needle into my lower spine due to the Osteoporosis in the lower vertebraes.....who knows. So these issues have put a downer on feeling pleased with the mobility progress I had made. I'm having checks done all through the night had one about an hour ago and things had settled back down the next is at 1:30 am then 3:30 and if things remain settled the next one after that will be around 6- 6:30 giving a chance of a potentialy longer period of sleep. :fingerscrossed:

That life..full of ups and downs.

Thanks again @Sjoerd ,@Pacnorwest and also @Clay_22 and @Logan. Hugs to you all.xx

Yay! Oreti is getting better! With some setbacks, but I bet you'll be i the road to recovery soon.

As to carrot tops making fab pesto, does "carrot top" refer to red headed chef, or to the carrot greens?

Well done for you getting so far but take it easy if you're having the dizzy spells.
