Netty— thanks so much for the competition report. I don’t know how old yur child is, but when she leaves the competition, will she try and get into a professional skater’s group lik “Holiday on Ice”, or something like that?

I can imagine that you are excited to use your new snow removal equipment. You just go and have a good ole time blowing that snow.

Today there are two get-togethers today….one for the inhabitants of our apt. building and the other for the gardening complex members. Due to my Bride’s knee flare-up, we will only show our faces here.

We are gathering white plastic to make markers for the coming tom testing. There will be so many seeds to plant.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -7°C and overcast. It's going to be a mostly sunny day with highs of -1°C expected today.
Yesterday I had to plow snow, which was a joy with the new equipment. I also spent some time getting the snow off the greenhouse roof and cleaning out the eavestroughs so they didn't freeze up. We will be getting a little more snow each day this week so I wanted to be on top of it.
Not sure what the plan for today is yet, maybe a quiet Sunday.
Have a great day all :)

We are taking it easy today at home. We ordered our seed potatos for ourselves and a garden neighbour. Began to collect an organize the tax papers.

Good Monday morning all. Currently -1°C and overcast. We had a dusting of snow over night. It isn't really enough to plow darn it haha
Spent yesterday muckin around outside, moving snow around and puttering in the garage. The sun was shining, so I had both big doors open letting the sun shine in, and the dog was outside amusing himself in the snow. It was a nice quiet Sunday.
Today, housework and a trip to the bank.
Have a great day all :)

    Good morning, Netty.
It all sounds so nice with the sun and all. Pity you couldn’t play with your new machine. Haha. I wonder is more snow will fall before spring. Probably so, huh?
Be careful driving on the roads. BTW, do you have to use tyres with studs in them?

Happy Monday :) The full moon is tonight, but last night we were able to enjoy all of the bright long shadows from the moon as it came up over the mountain behind us. It also required a sleep mask hahaha

Netty I'm so pleased that you are enjoying your new snow plough! It would feel very empowering after being so attached to your shovel.

Today is a light day of making beef jerky treats for Angus in the dehydrator, prepping some chicken breast for the freezer and a walk. Enjoy your day!

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -10°C and clear. The full moon is incredibly bright, and the snow cover helps to make in very light outside. I don't even need to wait for the sunrise to walk Thunder this morning!
We had a rather lazy day yesterday, and I did a bunch of random things like banking and paperwork. I did get to play with my snow plow for a little bit, clearing the spot my sons truck was parked after he went to work and tidying up some sloppy areas. My Fitbit scolded me the other day for having too much cardio (shoveling snow will do that) and yesterday it scolded me again for not doing enough. Today I will try to do the proper amount haha Anyone else have a Fitbit? We could be friends!
Off for my dog walk. Have a great day all :)

Netty— what is a FitBit? Is it an app?
It made me chuckle when you wrote that you had been scolded by that thing. Oh dear.

Anyhow, good that you had the opportunity to play in the snow again. Mate, if you become anymore capable with that thing, perhaps you could clean driveways for a fee. Haha.

My horses have a Fitbit. I have gardening Fitbit. No need for a wrist Fitbit. It doesn’t work as well as Mindfulness.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -15°C and clear. The moon is still very bright, and it looks light outside.
Spent part of yesterday out in my snow plow due to the winds that kept blowing drifts into the driveway. One of the cons of having a long rural driveway is winter when there is lots of snow and the banks create giant drifts every time the wind blows. This has always been a source of stress here, as it can easily 'lock you out' at which time you have to hope a neighbor with a tractor and giant blower comes to your rescue or you have to spend hours using the walk behind snowblower. I also cleared closest neighbors driveway twice during the day so he wouldn't have to snowblow after a long day at work. All my neighbors have been so amazing and helpful to us since my husband passed so I am glad to finally do something nice for them.
A Fitbit is a small device that looks like a watch but it does so much more. Its a fitness tracker and has an app that connects to your cellphone. It keeps track of your daily steps, heart rate, sleep, stress levels etc, and can also do things like receive your text messages, set alarms, add friends and do challenges. In the app you set your goals and it encourages you to safely reach your goals. There is also a section to track your food and water intake which was helpful when I was trying to lose weight. I've had several Fitbit models through the years, my currently one is the Charge 6. Heres a video from the Fitbit website https://store.google.com/ca/product/fitbit_charge_6?hl=en-GB
Today I want to get back to my deep cleaning. I haven't started my craft room yet, and cant do anymore to the basement until we paint.
Have a great day all :)

Netty, I'm sure your neighbors were only too happy to help you out. Neighbors like you are hard to find.
It's not as chilly today, but it's quite overcast so I'm making a vat of chili. I've tried to make a smaller amount of chili in the past, but always end up with several meals' worth!
Today is change the bed linens day, but it has been postponed since Timi the cat is sacked out at the foot of the bed, enjoying the soft blanket. A dog would be told, "Get down, Rover" but a cat just looks so cute snoozing away. Timi rules!
Hope you all can get the needed and the wanted things done today. If not, there's always tomorrow!

Netty— gosh, Marlin has the right words. I wish that I could say things that well. All I can say is, “ditto”.
Cheers for explaining what a FitBit is. I will have a look at the vid to see it in action.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -9°C and clear. 62 days until spring!
Its Thursday, which means its errand and shopping day. The cupboards are bare this week so lots of groceries to pick up, plus paint and a few other things. I'd like to get the one half of the basement painted by the end of the week so that I can re-organize the other half of the basement. I feel like progress has halted so getting the painting done should help. DD brought up an interesting question yesterday ... how are we going to get the painting done with Thunder? Hes certainly going to make it difficult with his nosy, clumsy nature haha My have to be done in the evenings when my son is home from work to entertain him. We'll figure something out!
Have a great day all :)
