I think this combination will be the basis for my next quilt. It will take a while. I have the stars (diamond shapes) all cut out. The pattern connects them all into a much bigger star, using small triangles. I have to make those before forging ahead. Also when there are lots of small pieces, I like to stiffen it with starch before cutting them out. I couldn't find starch at the store yesterday, so it will have to wait for the nexy outing.
That's very nice, Daniel. I made a star of Bethlehem quilt for another son's graduation quilt. But I had found a pattern where you start with strips sewn together then cut them at an angle to make the diamonds for the star. I have my older son's quilt fixed and ready to quilt. I did take off the top row and just moved the border down. Minney's telling me there's things on this that I can't get off. She really doesn't like the safety pins. Oh wait maybe I can get the from underneath!
