We're on top of a Chalk Hill in the middle of Kent It looks very nice but we're 10 miles from the North Coast, you can just see the North Sea... On full zoom the other day I actually saw a large ship go by ... And, although it's hidden by the hills, on the South side you can see France across the English Channel with the naked eye... This is why it gets a bit chilly sometimes
Thank you @Pacnorwest and @S-H Not far from us on the East Coast is Ramsgate The line between the light coloured chalk (limestone) and the Tertiary sands above it is where the debris from the Asteroid is There's a layer of shattered flint that broke in the shock wave after impact, and on top of that there's a black layer where everything either cooked or caught fire as the debris from the impact rained back down into the atmosphere heating it up to hundreds of degrees. The forest fires were global. Not a good day to be outside.
