Thanks @Anniekay and @Pacnorwest it's probably my own silly fault......in my head I can do everything but at the moment my head and body are in disagreement. :( Sorry to hear that you too have had a tumble Pac, look after the poorly joint...sending gentle healing hugs to you.
So sad as it's such a beautifully sunny and warm day, I just attempted to go out again and have managed to water the trays of cuttings and pull back the potted Hostas in to a more sheltered place for the night as there is a marked difference at the moment between our day and night temps.
I decided to pack up for the day as I can't get any shoe on the foot of my ' bad' leg as that too has swelled up alot after the fall although it doesn't hurt.......just acting out of sympathy for the other swollen parts I think! I daren't risk walking around with a shoe on that isn't fitting properly.....now that would be asking for trouble. Plus the fact I'm on my own now as hubs is out and as proved this morning ..you can shout out for help as loud as you can here and you won't be heard unless a walker happens to be passing by.
Never mind I shall have to sit and watch the weeds grow.:like:

Nothing to today went to see my friends.
But hubby planted 3 pots of hyacinths that he bought in the garden, already thinking of this autumn when i buy the spring bulbs.

I have the very same hope for my new tubers too. I lost all mine in the frost except for one. The gardens wouldn't be right without dahlias.
As for the geraniums (pelargoniums) I stopped growing those, even though they make such a bright display, and now I stick with the hardy perennial types of geranium that take care of themselves.

Not a lot in the garden today. Yesterday I had a knee injection. They told me to avoid doing much with it.

I did do a little watering. It was warm and sunny today. Also up-potted the three dahlia seedlings that germinated - out of maybe 15 seeds I planted. Also planted the rest of the seed packet.

    Sorry I missed so much.

We have had heavy rains since about Wednesday? I lost track. So far, we have had about 8 or 9 inches so far, and there is major flooding here in southern Missouri and northern Arkansas. Some areas have had tornadoes and heavy damages. The thunderstorms have been heavy.

Before the rain, I dug to one side to try and find the drain pipe. I had dug deeper, and not found it. I found the pipe and punctured it, and it let a lot of yuk out of it. The hole is full of yuk... I went and did other things for a bit.

I have been trying to clean up debris when I can.

I hope all of you are well.

Thanks @Logan and @Daniel W , Oh yes Daniel I most definitely will. Hope your knee responds well to the injection, I've had them before and they worked well.......perhaps with hindsight I should've stuck with themo_O.

    "Hallooo!"

I think someone found a tape measure and checked it out.

Some of the pellets in both feeders had been eaten.
The videos last night only showed a hedgehog going into the house under the azaleas and later coming out. So I knew it wasn't occupied, although there was evidence that it had been so previously. So this morning I took it into the shed, cleaned it out, put in fresh hay and put it back again.

My new camera arrived yesterday afternoon, it's more sophisticated than the other two, despite being far cheaper. The definition is better too.

Well, the rain has held off for a while this morning, so I had the opportunity to prepare and drop some Danvers 126 carrot seed in a container today.

I did a bit today, between checking on things.

This wisteria grows from the little bed under the kitchen window, up over the tall fence and along the whole length of the side of the house.
It has a lot of blossom to come out.

They will be pink in colour like this

and hopefully, most won't fall off as they did last year, as I didn't water it enough.

I found a few "lily of the valley" growing in the narrow gap between the shed and the fence, so I re-planted them under the canopy of the largest acer.

The new trail/cam is up and connected to an adapter in a socket in the teahouse.

It covers the whole of the back border.

This euonymus on the fence behind the rockery is getting big again. I prune it like a hedge every few years to stop it coming too far out. It was bought thirty-odd years ago as a rockery plant.

These azaleas should be out within about a week.

I spent some time behind this main border ripping out grass that creeps under the concrete base panel of the fence, from the garden next door.

I also sharpened the blade of my Flymo before mowing the lawn. A case of removing the blade, sticking it in my bench vice and using an electric belt sander on the blades.

This mimosa, keeps growing, I cut two feet off the top last year, but that doesn't seem to have slowed it down at all.

I then ran out of things that needed doing. I've left removing dead canes from the "bamboo forest" at the bottom of the garden until next week. I came in to watch two football games and then the tennis.

Watered the polyanthus around the path and sowed some corn marigold, wild poppy and Californian poppy seeds in cell trays and put them outside.

I didn't do much today, basically taking a day off and waiting for the rain that is coming around midnight. The soil is too dry to easily weed, so, this morning I just cleaned up my three garden trugs, washed out the wheelbarrows and garden cart, picked up some sticks (that red oak in my yard is always shedding it's twigs and branches) and stirred up my compost bin.
