Anniekay This time of year the Pacific Northwest is closer to the sun as the angle is low and the sun is brighter brings bluer brighter cloudless skies and has harsher effects , easy for sunburn. The sun is present throughout the year, but in spring, it seems to shine particularly bright and strong. This is because the sun's rays have a lower angle when they hit the earth in spring than other months of the year.
I can't recall when we last had rain, water butts are empty and the ground is hard, cracked and too hard to work on. We are forecast rain today so we wait in great anticipation.The run through shows we are mostly on the edge of it but might get some this evening. So hope so.
