Good Wednesday morning all. Currently just 0° and clear.
We picked Thunder up from the vet yesterday at 3:30 after his surgery. He was a little bit dopey, but so happy to see us and get away from the vets office!
He has a 'recovery suit' instead of a 'cone' to prevent him from chewing at his stitches. It looks like hes wearing pajamas haha We are supposed to keep him calm for the next 10 days, and that is what will prove to be the hard part. Hes already full of beans this morning. I can take him for a short walk so that is what I will do this morning before work. DD will have to watch him during the day, and my son tonight while we are at the rink. Poor Thunder
Have a great day all :)

Shawchert, as a retired librarian, I really appreciate your post! We recently tried to "weed" our bookshelves. Ended up with two books to go to the local library book sale. Love books!!!
We have rain this Wednesday morning, so we are stuck inside (except for dashing out to feed and water the hens). Think I'll read a bit . . . .

Marlin, I just started working at my local library yesterday! I am not a librarian but have always wanted to be, this is the closest I can be as formal education is not my forte.

Shawchert, librarians are born, not made. Reading voraciously, interesting others in books, and keeping the shelves faced and books properly filed on the shelves. Believe me, it isn't rocket science (most rocket scientists couldn't be librarians!).

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 10°C with highs expected to reach 18° today!
Hoping the weather continues to improve. I have tomato seedlings that want to be up potted and out in the greenhouse, and hopefully that can be my job tomorrow. But today, its off to work where spring clean up continues.
Have a great day all :)

Happy Thursday! It's payday and my cats have taken all of my funds .... they need to eat but I'm also being dramatic. It's a beautiful blue sky day and I had such a great day working at the library yesterday, I may have made a new friend? Not sure, but it was a good day. I also saw that the white duck that was over at my work site last year came back. I named her Daphne, I stopped and talked to her, and she just looked at me expectingly ... I'll have to grab some corn or treats for her. :).

Good Friday morning all. Currently 8°C and overcast.
I started my day by having my son remove a tick from my neck. That bite HURT! I've got it saved in a little container to identify and possibly show my doctor, but it looks to me like a dog tick, which as far as I understand, doesn't carry lyme. More research needed for sure. This is only my third time ever having a tick bite, and they are all in the last few years. A good reminder to give Thunder his tick medication.
Its my day off, and I hope to get some work done in my gardens if the rain holds off. Starting the edging, dividing and weeding of gardens as well as up potting some tomatoes, and turning the compost is on my list of 'to do's' . I also need to get the rain barrels in place. I thought about putting out some patio furniture, but saw a weather post on FB about severe thunderstorms and possibly a risk of tornados for Tuesday, so I'm going to hold off.
Have a great day all :)

Netty - Oh goodness, glad the tick was found, definitely figure out if they carry anything! Good luck and I hope all is clear!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!! I have half an hour of work then I am out! Then I get to go get my Chai latte and go to coffee hour at the library. Then it's off to a girls weekend of fiber frolic I'm so happy to be able to get out and touch more yarn (and maybe buy some :D

It's supposed to rain the whole weekend so not really much I can do in the garden today or the weekend really... probably should put away my tools though x.x

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 5°C and overcast with rain in the forecast.
I had a surprise visit from my sister and brother in law yesterday which was nice. I still managed to get several small gardens raked out and edged after they left. Today the weather doesn't look great, so I'll be inside. Theres never a lack of things to clean or organize in the house!
Have a great day all :)
